We have chosen this venue for our 84th Commencement due to its proximity to our campus and convenience to our graduates. It is located at the cross-roads of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues. The following is a brief summary of various modes of transportation you may wish to use:
By Bus: Twelve bus lines stop near the arena: B25, B26, B37, B38, B41, B45, B52, B63, B65, B67, B69, and B103.
By Subway: 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, or R train to Atlantic Avenue- Barclays Center Station. Take the C Lafayette Avenue or the G to Fulton Street.
By Car: Note that parking is both limited and costly. Barclays Center is easily accessed from the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, or the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. If you are using a GPS the venue’s address is 620 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
New York City College of Technology is proud to announce our 84th Commencement ceremony. It's with great anticipation that we come together to celebrate this momentous occasion, the remarkable achievements, and extraordinary journey of our 2024 graduating class. As we prepare to bid farewell to one chapter and embark on the next, join us in honoring the dedication, perseverance, and endless potential of our graduates.
Commencement will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, in the Barclays Center. Lineup will begin at 2PM, and the precession will start at 4:00 PM. The main entrance is located at the intersection of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues. This modern venue is situated on top of one of the largest transit hubs in New York. Public transit is the fastest, most convenient way to travel there.
As an alternative option to in-person attendance, live streaming of the ceremony will be made available for those who are not able to be present.

Every year at the end of the spring semester, the college holds a commencement ceremony. To participate in any 2024 commencement related activities, students must have graduated or filed for graduation by the established deadlines.

To be eligible to participate in commencement activities at Barclays Center, you will need to RSVP here by May 14 to confirm your attendance and need for tickets.
Graduation and commencement are two different things. You must have filed for graduation by the deadline to participate in commencement. You must fulfill all your requirements to "graduate" and get your degree. Even if your final grades or requirements are not complete, spring and summer grads are welcome to attend commencement. This means that to allow students to take part in commencement, we don't wait to find out if they passed all of their classes or prerequisites for their final semester. To file for graduation for the included semesters, all you need to do is meet the deadline.
It is important to go over the following checklist and take note of time sensitive deadlines. If for any reason you are not able to complete or finish the following steps, make sure to contact the Office of Student Life and Development for guidance on how to proceed.
Note: Students who meet the eligibility requirements but submit their applications after the deadline may not have their names listed in the commencement program. The following conferral date may see the awarding of degrees to qualified students whose degree applications are submitted after the deadline indicated in the Academic Calendar.

Use "Graduation Invitation Request" in your subject line. Please provide the following information in your email: student name, EMPL-ID, degree title, guest's full name, date of birth, embassy name and address, and passport number.
Caps and gowns will go on sale on 4/22/24. During the Grad Fair (April 30 - May 2), stop by the bookstore to get your cap and gown, connect with vendors, get your picture taken, and buy a class of 2024 t-shirt.
Graduation Vendors
To schedule your appointment, reach out to Continental Studios. Be sure to book early to secure your preferred date and time. Don't miss out on this opportunity to commemorate your achievements and celebrate your hard work.
Note: During the Grad Fair (April 30 - May 2), Continental Studios will be available by appointment only to take your picture on campus. Make sure to arrive 15 minutes earlier than scheduled appointment.
Note: Jostens and Fond Memories will be on hand to meet all your purchasing needs from April 30 to May 7 during the Grad Fair.
Mark your calendars! The annual Graduation Fair is just around the corner, and you won't want to miss it. Join us on April 30 through May 2 at the Follett Bookstore for an event packed with everything you need to prepare for the big day.
At the Graduation Fair, you'll have the chance to purchase your cap and gown, explore options for class rings, and so much more. Plus, there you will be helpful resources available to answer any questions you may have about the commencement ceremony.
Note: On the day of commencement, you will need to have a reader card for your name to be announced during the procession. Your reader cards will be distributed during the graduation fair and MUST BE BROUGHT WITH YOU ON THE DAY OF COMMENCEMENT.

Up to four (4) tickets will be distributed to each student who has RSVP'd. First-come, first-served policy will apply to any additional tickets requested.
Once your degree application has been reviewed and confirmed, you will receive an email and text notification with instructions on how to claim your diploma online. Your digital diploma will be always available to you through your Parchment account after you receive it. Logging in allows you to download or distribute it without charge.

On-campus photos for this year's graduates can be taken during the Grad Fair on Tuesday, April 18th - Thursday, April 20th from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM in the college bookstore. Continental Studios will continue to offer students the opportunity to have a graduation portrait taken during the week of May 8th - May 12th, and if preferred, students can schedule an appointment to visit them in their studios. These photos are for personal use only.
